Job summary

STERIS is seeking an Equipment Service Technician to travel to hospitals and laboratories, performing preventive and corrective maintenance on complex mechanical, electro-mechanical and electronic units. You will build strong customer relationships and complete administrative tasks, with up to 50% travel in your vicinity.

The role is full-time and safety-sensitive, with opportunities to advanced within a growing team.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; or DES.
At least 1 year of overall work experience and/or one year of related technical training.
Strong technical, organizational, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication; proficient with basic computer software.
Willingness to travel to the USA for training.

Responsibilities

Drive Customer satisfaction through pro-active communication and commitment to resolving Customer's issues/problems.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on STERIS and related product lines using standard tools and test equipment.
Troubleshoot, repair, modify, overhaul, or refurbish equipment and systems components.
Ensure a positive Customer experience with timely PMs, service/warranty calls, and field upgrades.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with Customers, managers, and sales organization.
Promote STERIS growth by identifying sales opportunities and recommending products/services.
Communicate status updates promptly and efficiently to Customers.
Be a positive ambassador for STERIS at Customer sites.
