Job summary

Sotera Health, a global leader in sterilization and related services, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform daily maintenance and preventative upkeep on processing equipment. The role involves troubleshooting, repairs, and coordination with operations and contractors to keep systems running safely and efficiently.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will identify problems, procure parts, and ensure adherence to safety programs, while supporting various facility tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Five (5) years of maintenance experience in a processing/manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak fluent English.
• Must be able to read and interpret electrical diagrams and ladder logic.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine daily maintenance activities for the facility and scheduled preventative maintenance on the processing equipment as directed by the Supervisor.
• Identifies problems, collects data, draws valid conclusions, recommends corrective action and carries out necessary repairs in a timely manner to restore equipment to operational status.
• Identifies materials needed, obtains pricing information, completes purchase orders and with Supervisor’s approval, orders materials needed.
• Interfaces with operations personnel regarding work orders and outside contractors, as necessary.
• Adheres to all facility safety programs.
• Assists with other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
