Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Field Engineering Intern to join our Water Tech team in Canada. This full-time 12-16 month co-op offers hands-on exposure to water treatment systems and the chance to work with experienced professionals on industrial water projects, with an anticipated start date in May 2027.

You will generate system drawings and perform field checks, contribute to monthly reports, and help optimize plant equipment while developing essential technical skills in chemical and mechanical domains

Qualifications

• Experience with titrations and measuring pH and conductivity in a lab.
• Basic mechanical skills to troubleshoot chemical feed equipment.
• Proficient in MS Office, Visio, and data management tools.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
• Full-time availability for 12-16 months starting May/June 2027.

Responsibilities

• Generate system drawings, PFDs for manuals and proposals.
• Conduct wet testing in the laboratory on water samples.
• Monitor process equipment performance through online tools.
• Assist in completing monthly reporting requirements.
• Manage bulk chemical inventory and assist with ordering chemical products as required.
• Perform field checks on process equipment (flows, pH, conductivity, chemical residuals).
• Work with supervisors on plant equipment optimization opportunities.
