Job summary

Veolia Water Tech, based in Canada, is seeking an electrical engineer to join our team focused on water treatment and related infrastructure projects. The role involves delivering engineering deliverables, designing control systems, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, travel up to 10% between Oakville and Montreal, and contribute to projects for industrial and municipal clients.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' electrical engineering experience in water treatment/oil & gas/chemical/power.
• French/English bilingualism in speaking and writing is a strong advantage.
• P.Eng license or candidate for the engineering profession (OIQ in Quebec or another Canadian province).
• SAP, MCC design, valve/instrument selection experience.
• Knowledge of NEC, UL508A, CSA standards.
• Excellent planning, communication, and teamwork skills.
• At least 10% travel (between Oakville to Montreal).

Responsibilities

• Generate and approve critical engineering deliverables (P&IDs, diagrams, load lists, specifications).
• Design control panels, power distribution systems, control system architecture.
• Manage vendor selection, procurement, project scheduling.
• Apply expertise in hazardous location classification, design standards, cable routing.
