Job summary

PCL Constructors Canada Inc. is hiring a Field Coordinator in Winnipeg, Manitoba. You will assist with drawings, records, safety inspections and coordination with subtrades on complex projects. The role emphasizes accuracy, communication and teamwork to keep schedules on track.

You will contribute to quality control, cost tracking and construction planning while building relationships with stakeholders and supporting project delivery across major projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, architecture, trade or related field.
  • 1 year of progressive experience as field coordinator preferred.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with updating drawings and specifications.
  • Document field records for quality, production, labor and materials.
  • Assist with inventory, time sheets, costs and quantities tracking.
  • Conduct basic safety inspections and promote safety practices.
  • Support subtrade management, RFIs, shop drawings and billings.
  • Help develop construction sequences and work plans.
  • Engage with project team and stakeholders to maintain progress.

Responsibilities
  • Assists with updating drawings and specifications.
  • Documents field records for quality, production, labor, and materials.
  • Assists with inventory and tracking time sheets, costs, and quantities.
  • Assists in monitoring the quality plan, including conducting quality inspections, deficiencies and issue management.
  • Conducts basic safety inspections and training, identifies and corrects safety hazards, and leads by example in safety practices and procedures.
  • Assists the project team with subtrade partner management, including managing requests for information, shop drawings, changes and billings and workforce planning
  • Assists with schedules and monitoring performance.
  • Assists in creating construction sequence and work plans.
  • Construction surveying and layout, including as-built documentation.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with all stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, architecture, trade or a related field.
  • 1 year of progressive experience as field coordinator is preferred.
  • Ability to learn and apply basic construction principles, specifications, and procedures.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with stakeholders including supervisors and subtrade partners.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
  • Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD and Revit considered an asset.
