Job summary

Ridgeline Archaeology LTD in Prince George, BC seeks a dedicated Archaeologist to conduct field surveys, excavations, and artifact analysis. You will contribute to understanding past cultures through careful data collection and reporting, using GPS tools and field notebooks.

Qualifications

• Completed or in-progress degree in Anthropology or Archaeology.
• Comfortable in remote locations and adverse weather conditions.
• Valid Intermediate First Aid and Class 5 Driver's License.
• Experience in Cultural Resource Management or fieldwork is an asset.
• Familiar with BC archaeology regulations and practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordinating logistics for field work.
• Assist in maintaining field equipment and vehicles.
• Conduct field surveys in remote locations and in inclement weather.
• Contribute to team safety and a healthy team dynamic.
• Conduct site evaluations, mitigations, and excavations per standards.
• Record data using GPS (iPads), take photos, write field notes.
• Assist with artifact analysis and preparation of reports.
