Job description

Position Summary

This role provides solution‑oriented consultative training, technical support, and troubleshooting for bioMérieux’s Clinical and Industry product lines at customer sites and remotely. The specialist works with customers to efficiently implement new instrumentation, retain current customer business, develop and strengthen customer relationships that result in loyalty and positive referrals, and promote teamwork to drive productivity and a positive work environment.

Primary Duties
  • Coordinate and provide technical training, consultation, and ongoing support of bioMérieux’s diagnostic product lines within the Canada customer base.
  • Develop, cultivate, and maintain strong professional relationships with all customers.
  • Answer internal and external customer inquiries and ensure regulatory compliance through timely and accurate documentation in bioMérieux’s CRM system; consulting as appropriate with Sales Partners, Application Specialists, Field Service, IT Resources, Management teams, and Local/Global Support Teams.
  • Provide consistent follow‑up to ensure customer satisfaction and meet minimum key performance indicators.
  • Responsible for efficient territory management within operating expense budget.
  • Support bioMérieux revenue initiatives.
  • Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Training
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in microbiology/molecular or life sciences field.
  • Master’s degree (preferred).
  • MLT certification preferred.
  • Four years related experience accepted in lieu of degree.
Experience
  • Clinical laboratory experience or bioMérieux product experience preferred.
  • Experience with Health Canada regulations and/or other laboratory credentialing standards preferred.
  • Experience with related technical field applications support strongly preferred.
  • Laboratory Information System (LIS) or Connectivity/Networking experience a plus.
  • IT & software experience is an asset.

  • Travel: domestic 75%; international 5%; total 80%.
