Job Title: Fibre Distribution & Logistics Manager

We are seeking a qualified professional to fill the position of Fibre Distribution & Logistics Manager at our Port Mellon location in British Columbia. Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the foreshore area, including the deep-sea dock.

Key Responsibilities

1. Ensure full compliance with all safety programs and initiatives, fostering a strong safety-first culture.
2. Promote safety awareness across all operational levels.
3. Supervise the efficient loading of 400,000 ADMT of pulp onto breakbulk vessels.
4. Implement efficiency improvements across all four operational departments.
5. Manage and execute multiple maintenance projects simultaneously.
6. Ensure compliance with provincial and federal regulations in all mill services, including security, rail operations, landfill management, and mobile equipment (e.g., cranes).
7. Oversee pulp sales and maintain strong customer service relationships.
8. Develop business justifications and ROI analyses for operational improvements.
9. Manage all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in inventory handling and distribution.

Qualifications

1. University or Technical College degree in a related field (preferred).
2. Minimum of 5 years of industry experience, including in-depth knowledge of the pulp process.
3. At least 5 years of leadership experience.
4. Proven ability to organize, plan, lead, and motivate teams to achieve operational goals.
5. Demonstrated success in engaging and leading personnel.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
7. Solid technical expertise, with strong project management and strategic planning abilities.
8. Experience in managing labor relations in a unionized environment.
