The Director of Warehouse and Distribution oversees daily operations of warehousing, logistics, inventory, and customer service at the ZO Skin Health Canadian warehouse. Responsibilities include managing staffing, supervising shipping and receiving, supporting 3PL warehousing, and monitoring inbound and outbound freight from the US into Canada. The role promotes collaboration between Customer Service and Warehouse teams and interacts with sales, marketing, and supply chain management globally to enhance customer experience and increase sales.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement warehouse and distribution strategies aligned with company goals.
  2. Lead and manage warehouse teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
  3. Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, warehousing, order fulfillment, and inventory management.
  4. Optimize operations for efficiency, cost reduction, and on-time delivery.
  5. Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, tariffs, customs clearance, duties, and taxes related to US-Canada freight movement.
  6. Monitor KPIs and metrics, making data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
  7. Apply demand planning and sales forecasting to inform inventory and shipping schedules.
  8. Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies during audits and inspections.
  9. Implement technology and automation to streamline operations.
  10. Ensure adherence to regulatory, health, safety, and quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 5-8 years of warehouse and distribution experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or director role.
  • Extensive knowledge of distribution center management and working with 3PL providers.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in systems implementation, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.
  • Knowledge of regulatory, health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Strategic thinking, creativity, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
Work Environment & Schedule

Indoor warehouse setting with moderate noise, cool temperatures, and concrete floors. The role requires onsite presence, 5 days a week, with possible overtime, holidays, and emergency response shifts. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, and walking frequently. Safety protocols and PPE are mandatory.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Oversees warehouse, inventory, and customer service personnel.
