Job summary

Cooper Equipment Rentals Limited is seeking motivated, customer‑oriented individuals to join our team in Ottawa. The role focuses on yard and warehouse organization, inventory control, and safe handling of fencing and construction equipment. You will load, install, and move fencing at customer sites, conduct cycle counts, and help maintain a clean, efficient facility.

A valid driver’s license and ability to lift approx. 50 lbs are required; outdoor work in varying weather is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in fence/scaffolding labour, general labour, yard coordination, or similar role.
• Valid Class G/5 driver's license with clean abstract; provide copy upon request.
• Physically able to lift ~50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Mechanically inclined with hand/power tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with inventory systems, shipping/receiving, and warehouse best practices is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain fencing and equipment in the yard and warehouse for efficient flow and accessibility.
• Perform regular cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation.
• Safely load, install, remove, and pick up fencing at customer locations and return to the branch yard.
• Ensure facility cleanliness and safety; report hazards.
• Coordinate with branch teammates to resolve inventory or order issues.
• Assist with delivering small tools and equipment to job sites when required.
