Job summary

Kasko Cattle Co. is a family-owned cattle feeding and farming operation with four locations across Southern Alberta. As a Feed Truck Operator, you’ll play a key role in daily feedlot operations by ensuring cattle are fed accurately, consistently, and on schedule to support animal health and performance.

This full-time, on-site role offers a competitive hourly wage of 25–30 CAD to start, benefits after probation, and opportunities to grow with a supportive team.

Qualifications

  • Experience in agriculture or feedlot operations is an asset.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions.
  • Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Feed cattle accurately and consistently according to ration plans.
  • Mix and deliver feed following specified ingredients and instructions.
  • Maintain clean bunks, minimize feed waste, and manage silage quality.
  • Monitor cattle behavior and report health or feeding concerns.
  • Complete feed records and ensure compliance with feed protocols.
  • Perform daily equipment checks and follow maintenance schedules.
  • Support general feedlot operations and assist where needed.

Job description

Location: Sandy Hill (near Taber, AB)
Position Type: Full-Time | Permanent (minimum 40-50 hours per week)
Reports To: Rodolfo Pena, Feedlot Manager

The Role

As a Feed Truck Operator, you’ll play a key role in daily feedlot operations by ensuring cattle are fed accurately, consistently, and on schedule to support animal health and performance.

What You’ll Do
  • Feed cattle accurately and consistently according to ration plans
  • Mix and deliver feed following specified ingredients and instructions
  • Maintain clean bunks, minimize feed waste, and manage silage quality
  • Monitor cattle behavior and report health or feeding concerns
  • Complete feed records and ensure compliance with feed protocols

Work Schedule
  • Typically, 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Weekend and holiday shifts required as scheduled
  • Extended hours as needed
