Job summary

Kolk Farms Ltd. in Iron Springs seeks a qualified Feed Truck Operator to join our farming team. You will safely operate a feed truck delivering to cattle on schedule and assist with front-end loader tasks.

Candidates must read and write English, be able to lift 50 lbs, and hold a Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract. We value reliability, punctuality and careful record-keeping in a busy farming operation.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow schedules and maintain feeding timetables.
• Numerical accuracy for feed records and ration calculations.
• Fluent reading/writing in English for communication and reporting.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and handle physical tasks.
• Physically capable to enter/exit equipment and operate loaders.
• Dependable, punctual and proactive in a farm setting.
• Attention to detail in record-keeping and safety checks.
• Class 5 driver license; Class 3 is an asset; clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate feed truck to deliver feed to cattle on schedule and with precision.
• Safely operate front end loader with precision.
• Monitor cattle behavior during feeding to ensure proper consumption.
• Ensure all feed equipment is clean and maintained regularly.
• Maintain accurate feeding records and report any issues or observations to feeding manager.
• Understand feed ingredients, TMR, feed mills, rollers, conveyors.
• Other duties as required.

Schedule: 11 days on, 3 days off
