Jump Recruitment is seeking a Feed Mill Production Supervisor for Country Ribbon's St. John's, NL facility. Under the Feed Mill Manager, you will oversee safe, efficient daily operations including grain storage and handling.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years supervisory experience, post-secondary education in mechanical/industrial eng tech or related field, and strong leadership with a focus on food safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Post-secondary education in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering Technology, food production, or another relevant field.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work successfully as a team member.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or a food safety setting would be considered a highly valued asset.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily staffing and work activities to maximize productivity, operational efficiency, and resource utilization.
• Lead team performance by setting clear expectations, establishing goals, monitoring results, and addressing performance issues to ensure operational objectives are achieved.
• Coach, mentor, and develop employees by providing training, feedback, and growth opportunities that strengthen skills and engagement.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, teamwork, and operational excellence by coaching and mentoring.
• Monitor key performance indicators including production volumes, downtime, inventory variances, feed quality, and operating costs.
• Identify continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize feed mill performance.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), HACCP policies, and applicable regulatory standards.
• Assist in managing inventory levels and coordinate materials and supplies to ensure uninterrupted production and efficient feed mill operations.
• Manage employee attendance, timekeeping, and leave records, ensuring accurate documentation and efficient payroll support.

We are currently accepting applications for a Feed Mill Supervisor at our Topsail Road location. Under the direction of our Feed Mill Manager, this position is tasked with ensuring the safe, effective and efficient operations at our Feed Mill which includes our grain storage and handling facilities at Cochrane Pond and Long Pond.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily staffing and work activities to maximize productivity, operational efficiency, and resource utilization.
• Lead team performance by setting clear expectations, establishing goals, monitoring results, and addressing performance issues to ensure operational objectives are achieved.
