Silent-Aire is seeking a highly skilled FEA Specialist to join our engineering team in Edmonton, AB. The role focuses on structural, seismic, modal, and vibration analyses for large-scale equipment, including air handling units and modular data centers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong FEA background, proficiency in ANSYS, and the ability to collaborate with multiple disciplines to deliver reliable, optimized designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Active P.Eng. in Alberta is required.
• Proven experience in FEA in manufacturing or related industries.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural static analysis for large-scale equipment.
• Perform seismic analysis under seismic loading.
• Execute modal and frequency response analyses to identify vibrations.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing and QA to integrate FEA results.
• Work with mechanical/manufacturing engineers to align designs with performance.
• Provide design recommendations during reviews to refine concepts.
• Utilize ANSYS to run detailed simulations and inform design decisions.
• Prepare reports documenting findings and recommendations.
• Stay updated on FEA methods and tools for continuous improvement.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to support timelines.
