Johnson Controls in Edmonton, AB is seeking a highly skilled Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Specialist to perform structural, seismic, modal, and vibration analyses for our data center equipment. You will leverage ANSYS to deliver reliable designs and rigorous documentation.

The role requires a strong background in FEA within manufacturing or related industries, a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred), and active P.Eng.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Active P.Eng. in Alberta (practicing engineer in good standing).
• Proven experience in finite element analysis, preferably in manufacturing or related industries.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct structural static analysis for large-scale equipment like air handling units and modular data centers.
• Perform seismic analysis to evaluate equipment performance under seismic loading.
• Execute modal and frequency response analyses to identify internal vibration sources and mitigate effects.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and QA teams to integrate FEA results into product development.
• Utilize ANSYS software to run detailed simulations and inform design decisions.
• Prepare comprehensive analysis reports with actionable recommendations for design modifications.
