Job summary

FCU Community Financial in BC is seeking a part-time Financial Service Representative for the Texada Island Branch to deliver friendly member service and handle daily banking needs.

You will assist members with deposits, withdrawals, bill payments and educating them on mobile banking tools while supporting teammates and learning about financial products.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; post-secondary education preferred.
• 1–3 years in customer service (retail, hospitality or financial industry).
• Strong interpersonal and service-oriented approach.
• Ability to multi-task with accuracy.
• Knowledge of deposit and lending products is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Team player with initiative and willingness to learn.

Major Responsibilities:

• Providing an exceptional member experience by proactively engaging with members to understand and meet their immediate day-to-day banking needs by identifying the products and services that will benefit them.
• Completing financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, bill payments and/or other account transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Transforming the member experience by educating them on our mobile tools and resources.
• Assisting other team members and completing other duties as assigned.

Required Experience, Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:

• High School Diploma (preference will be given for post-secondary education).
• 1-3 years experience in customer service (retail, hospitality, and or financial industry).
• Strong interpersonal skills with a service-oriented focus and the ability to multi-task.
• Knowledge of deposit and lending products and services is preferred.
• Successful relationship-building skills.
• A positive attitude towards teamwork and cooperation.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• A proven ability to perform basic mathematical calculations with or without a calculator.

What You’ll Earn:

This role offers a salary range of$ 24.38 to $27 perhour. Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills,previousexperience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
