Job summary

FCU Community Financial is seeking a customer service-focused banking professional on Texada Island. You will engage with members to meet day-to-day banking needs, handle deposits and transactions accurately, and educate customers on mobile tools to enhance their banking experience.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and a proactive attitude to deliver excellent service in a community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (preference for post-secondary education).
• 1–3 years experience in customer service (retail, hospitality, or financial industry).
• Strong interpersonal skills with a service-oriented focus and the ability to multi-task.
• Knowledge of deposit and lending products and services is preferred.
• Successful relationship-building skills.
• Positive attitude towards teamwork and cooperation.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations with or without a calculator.
• Initiative, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Providing an exceptional member experience by proactively engaging with members to understand and meet their immediate day-to-day banking needs by identifying the products and services that will benefit them.
• Completing financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, bill payments and/or other account transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Transforming the member experience by educating them on our mobile tools and resources; assisting other team members and completing other duties as assigned.

Salary Or Wage: $24.38 to $27.00 per hour
