Job summary

Canada West Harvest Centre in Swift Current is seeking two Heavy Equipment Mechanics to join their team. The role offers an opportunity to work with CLAAS machinery, with a remuneration package including comprehensive health, dental benefits, disability and life insurance, and a RRSP plan.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of related experience is required.
• No formal education requirement
• English language workplace requirement

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
• Overhaul motors, rebuild engines, rear ends, differentials and change out major components on farm equipment, heavy vehicles and trucks
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance
• Complete work orders, test and maintenance reports
• Perform preventative and routine maintenance including fluid and filter checks and changes, lubricating equipment and testing batteries
• Attach components and adjust equipment
• Operate equipment for testing purposes
