Job summary

Canada West Harvest Centre is seeking two Heavy Equipment Mechanics to join their team at the Kindersley location. After a probationary period, successful candidates will receive an attractive remuneration package which includes comprehensive health, dental benefits, disability and life insurance, and a RRSP plan.

Wage: $38 per hour, based on experience. Education requirements are no formal prerequisites; English is the language at the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
• Overhaul motors, rebuild engines, rear ends, differentials and change out major components on farm equipment, heavy vehicles and trucks
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance
• Complete work orders, test and maintenance reports
• Perform preventative and routine maintenance including fluid and filter checks and changes, lubricating equipment and testing batteries
• Attach components and adjust equipment
• Operate equipment for testing purposes
