Minnedosa Family Physician

Work Location: On site – Minnedosa Health Centre (334 1st Street SW, Minnedosa, MB R0J 1E0), Minnedosa Personal Care Home Services (138 3rd Ave SW, Minnedosa, MB R0J 1E0). No option to work remotely.

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Anticipated Shift: Full Time; days, early mornings, mornings, evenings, nights, on call, weekends.

Daily Hours Worked: 30 to 40 hours per week.

Position Type: Fee for service.

Wage Rate: Compensation is fee‑for‑service as per the Doctors Manitoba and Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living negotiated rates. Benefits are not provided but may be purchased if desired.

Position Summary

Minnedosa Health Centre is a 27‑bed acute care and 50‑bed long‑term care facility offering General Surgery, Diagnostic, Emergency, Public Health, Mental Health, Home Care, and Respite. Prairie Mountain Health seeks a Family Physician to join the Centre. Duties: perform all duties of a family practice, diagnosing and treating diseases, physiological disorders and injuries, act as the primary care provider and provide continuous care toward the management of patients’ health. The physician will also share in the Emergency Department on‑call schedule and coordinate coverage with other physician colleagues.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine degree.

Security and Safety

• Maintain satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate.
• All health care workers are required to be immunized as per Prairie Mountain Health policy.
• Responsible for any service charges incurred.
