Job description
Our client is one of Canada's premier law firms based in the heart of the financial district. They are currently seeking a Family Lawyer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in family law matters to work on building their own practice while expertly serving sophisticated, high net worth clients with Family Law matters involving support, property, and parenting issues.
What you will need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of 5 years experience in a law firm dealing with Family Law matters. You will work on building your own practice while expertly serving sophisticated, high net worth clients with Family Law matters involving support, property, and parenting issues. You must also have excellent knowledge and understanding of matters related to contested divorces, custody and access disputes, child and spousal support, as well as property and equalization of net family property. You will also require experience in Division of Assets and Finances.
In this new role, you must be able to work independently or under the direction of senior lawyers as part of an established and growing team. You should have excellent analytical and communication skills and appreciate the importance of providing outstanding, cost-effective, and responsive legal services to clients. In this role, you will also require an entrepreneurial spirit and must possess strong academic credentials and exceptional communication/client management skills.
Must be a member of the Ontario Bar in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. Other key success factors include a superior work ethic, self-motivation, and attention to detail as they are essential.
