Overview

Family Law Clerk - Hybrid (Toronto). Our client is a leading multi-service firm based in Toronto and are looking for an experienced family law clerk to join their family group. The successful candidate will have 5+ years family law experience and take pride in their work and understand the importance of exceptional client service.

Responsibilities
  • Drafting and preparing pleadings, correspondence, affidavits, motion materials, minutes of settlement, domestic contracts, conference briefs, disclosure briefs, Financial Statements, Net Family Property statements and related documents.
  • Calculating and reviewing financial information, and acting as a liaison with clients and opposing counsel.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of family law experience.
  • Team player who thrives in a dynamic environment, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for dealing with clients, lawyers, and professionals.
  • Solid knowledge of the Family Law Rules and the Rules of Civil Procedure, including filing deadlines.
  • Experience with MS Office; knowledge of PC Law and DivorceMate is required.
  • Knowledge of Relativity and Cyberbahn is an asset.
