Job summary

The Family Centre is seeking an individual to support families with a focus on trauma-informed care. The role involves working with caregivers to improve parenting capacity, resilience, and community engagement, while connecting families to resources and schools.

Responsibilities include facilitating community activities, partnerships with organizations, and direct family support to strengthen parenting skills and reduce stress.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Child & Youth Care, Social Work, or Human Services with related experience.
• Proficient communication, caseload management, and facilitation skills.
• Experience working with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate capacity-building activities for the community (presentations, events, etc.).
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide programming in community spaces.
• Facilitate groups in community settings based on community needs.
• Meet with families 1:1 to develop goals enhancing parenting skills, supports, and advocacy.
