Job summary

Sipehne seeks a full-time Occupational Therapist to support families and children in a family-centered care model. The role emphasizes independent assessment and evidence-based intervention within the Mi’kmaw community.

You will collaborate with families, educators, and other health professionals to promote well-being and functioning across daily activities, with a focus on culturally respectful practice in Nova Scotia.

Qualifications

• Must hold a degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered in good standing with the Nova Scotia College of OT.
• Two years’ experience as a registered OT preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct Client Care & Family Support: provide home and school-based OT services and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Collaboration: work with families, educators, and interdisciplinary teams to support integrated care and advocacy.
• Documentation: maintain confidential records and complete timely charts/reports.
