Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a motivated Facility Maintenance Technician to collaborate with a team to inspect, maintain and build buildings, and perform general maintenance and repair across sites.

You will work with tools and participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University, with a competitive hourly wage of $23–$25. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and timely completion of tasks, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, A/C, HVAC, plumbing or landscaping.
• Valid driver’s license.
• D.O.T certification (can be sponsored by U-Haul).
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and build new buildings.
• Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and semiannual roof inspections at various sites.
• Effectively work with a variety of hand/power tools.
• Pool knowledge with other Facility Maintenance Technicians to accomplish complex projects.
• Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Keep track of company truck and gas card.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
