Job summary

Qualifications

• Extensive maintenance/construction experience from education, apprenticeship and progressive work.
• Knowledge of skilled trades to oversee maintenance, repair, renovation and construction projects.
• Experience operating power tools and machinery safely and effectively.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, specifications and technical drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve maintenance issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train and supervise maintenance staff, apprentices, trades workers and inmate crews.
• Plan, schedule and prioritize maintenance, repair and renovation projects.
• Assist with budget planning and submissions.
• Coordinate with managers, contractors and facility staff to ensure work quality and safety.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, policies and security protocols.
