Job summary

Shearer’s Foods on-site Facility Maintenance Technician role in Alberta requires 2 years of manufacturing maintenance experience. You will inspect and service HVAC, plumbing, lighting and building systems, perform preventive tasks, and respond to breakdowns to keep production running smoothly.

The position involves rotating shifts and using a variety of hand and power tools, with a focus on safety, logs, and compliance. Third-party hiring. Canadian operations.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 2 years of facilities maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Performs routine inspections of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and safety facilities.
• Executes preventive and corrective maintenance tasks and responds to breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Maintains logs and records of maintenance work and supports audits and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, Roof, structural, Facility( washrooms, walkway, parking area )).
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Respond to breakdowns and repair issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain and repair: HVAC systems, lighting, Plumbing systems, Facility areas, scissor lifts, boom lifts, forklift.
• Ensure all systems operate efficiently and safely.
• Monitor building condition including walls, floors, roofing, and doors.
• Conduct minor civil work (painting, patching, repairs).
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas.
• Identify and report potential hazards and follow safety procedures.

Facility Maintenance Technician

Rotational shifts

• Perform routine inspections of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, Roof, structural, Facility( washrooms, walkway, parking area )

• Identify and report potential hazards
• Followlockout/tagout and safe work procedures
• Maintain maintenance logs and records
• Report recurring issues and recommend improvements
• Support audits and inspections
• Uses a variety of hand and power tools and material handling equipment in performing duties
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
• The role requires 2 years of facilities maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Exposure to high and low temperatures
