Shearer’s Foods in North America seeks an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to maintain plant systems and equipment in a food manufacturing setting. This role requires hands-on expertise with electromechanical and hydraulic machinery and a commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair work, and timely responses to production issues on a rotating shift.

We are seeking a mechanically skilled individual who can work on maintaining plant systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshooting, and repairing any issues which may arise during production, restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts. Equipment used in this food processing facility includes industrial, electromechanical, and hydraulic equipment as well as pumps and conveying systems.
The Maintenance Technician must be able to troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, packaging baggers, seasoning equipment, packaging bag weigh scale, auto packer and box maker, potato peelers, vibratory conveyors, transfer conveyors, oil transfer pump replacement and alignment, conveyors, gearboxes, generators, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, packaging machines, VFDs, PLCs, etc
Other duties include.
The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This job is performed in a shop environment: hazardous materials; greasy, slippery factory floors.
