Job summary

Cleantech in North Vancouver is seeking a reliable Facility Caretaker to maintain cleanliness and assist with equipment in our gym and swimming pool facility. The role requires you to be the welcoming contact for users and ensure spaces are safe and orderly.

You will clean and store equipment after use, educate users on rules, verify locker rooms, pool, and hot tub status, and complete daily reports including security sweeps. Part-time, with Saturday and Sunday 3 pm to 11 pm, starting in October.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience in janitorial or cleaning services is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Hands-on approach to facility cleanliness and maintenance.
• Strong computer skills to manage reporting and digital systems used for daily tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a presence in the facility and serve as a welcoming point of contact for gym users.
• Clean up and put equipment away after usage.
• Educate facility users about rules and guidelines.
• Ensure that locker and shower rooms are clean and maintained.
• Verify that the pool and hot tub are in proper working order.
• Complete the Connect Team Report, including:

Submit photos at the end of the day (11 PM) confirming that:

• The gym facility is vacant.
• Any equipment issues are reported.
• Locker rooms and showers are clean.
• The pool and hot tub are in good working order and clean.
