Job summary

Sundial at the Kelowna Valens Agritech Facility is seeking a Facilities Technician to perform routine maintenance, minor repairs, and monitor building systems. You will support planned and unplanned maintenance activities and assist external contractors as needed.

You will work with Asset Care and Facility Projects teams, follow safety protocols, and maintain records in company software. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and basic HVAC/plumbing/electrical knowledge in a manufacturing

Qualifications

  • Experience in facility or building maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems.
  • Ability to use tools and perform basic repairs.
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs (e.g., plumbing, lighting, doors, HVAC filters, small equipment).
  • Inspect and monitor building systems and equipment.
  • Support planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
  • Assist external contractors and emergency maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Complete maintenance records using company software.
  • Follow health and safety protocols and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Help manage facility inventory, tools and spare parts.

This role includes performing basic repairs, inspections, preventative, reactive and corrective maintenance activities.
