Job summary

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a Shift Operator 4th Class at Fishermen's Memorial Hospital in the Western Zone. This permanent full-time role involves maintaining heating, cooling, power and water systems and executing project-related tasks.

The successful candidate will have 4th Class certification, be willing to travel to other sites, and possess knowledge of building codes and OH&S. Bilingualism (French) is a plus.

Qualifications

• Certification as Shift Operator - 4th Class is required.
• Willingness to travel to other sites and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Knowledge of building code standards and OH&S.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• French language skills are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain facilities including heating, air conditioning, power and water generation units.
• Perform day-to-day maintenance and project-related activities.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, standards, policies; exercise sound judgment.
• Work safely and with initiative within the organization’s core values.
• Collaborate with team and other sites as required.
