Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Facilities Engineer to manage and maintain industrial infrastructure in the Kimberley region. On-site role focused on ensuring the integrity, safety, and efficiency of production facilities, including oil and gas processing plants, pipelines, and related equipment.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, 5+ years in oil & gas facilities, and strong knowledge of P&IDs, process safety management, and proven project

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities engineering within Oil & Gas.
  • Strong knowledge of P&IDs, equipment design, and process safety management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee design, installation, and commissioning of new facility equipment and systems.
  • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all facilities.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues related to facility operations and equipment.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and contractor performance for upgrades and repairs.
  • Collaborate with operations and safety teams to optimize facility performance and minimize risks.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous Facilities Engineer to manage and maintain their operational infrastructure in the Kimberley region. This is an on-site position focused on ensuring the integrity, safety, and efficiency of production facilities. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, construction, maintenance, and repair of oil and gas processing plants, pipelines, and related equipment. The ideal candidate possesses strong mechanical or chemical engineering skills, a thorough understanding of O&G facility operations, and proven experience in project execution and team leadership in a field setting. This role is crucial for supporting sustained production and ensuring compliance with stringent industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of new facility equipment and systems.
  • Develop and implement preventative and corrective maintenance programs for all facilities.
  • Conduct inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues related to facility operations and equipment.

Requirements

  • Experience with project management, including budgeting and scheduling.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software and maintenance management systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills required for on-site operations.
