Job summary

The Salvation Army Canada and Bermuda Territory is seeking a Custodial Supervisor to lead our custodial team, supervise staff, and ensure a safe, clean facility across multiple sites in Calgary. The role emphasizes scheduling, training, quality control, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibility includes enforcing health, safety and PPE guidelines, managing supplies, coordinating with facilities manager, and driving continuous improvement in cleaning

Qualifications

• Community College Diploma in related field or equivalent experience.
• Police Information Check (PIC) with Vulnerable Sector Search.
• Child Intervention Check and Abuse Registry Clearance.
• Class 5 Driver's License.
• First Aid/CPR certification (St. John's Emergency or Red Cross).
• WHMIS and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training.
• Respect in the Workplace and Armatus Learn to Protect Training.
• Three years custodial or facility management experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily custodial operations, ensuring facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Develop, assign, and adjust work schedules for all shifts and events.
• Lead, train, and coach custodial staff to high performance.
• Ensure health, safety, and PPE guidelines are followed.
• Manage cleaning supplies inventory and equipment maintenance.
• Prepare custodial reports and maintain records.
