Job summary

BEST is seeking a shift supervisor in Sarnia, ON to ensure our building remains clean, presentable, and inviting. You will bridge management and frontline staff, coordinating scheduling, tools, and answering employee questions.

Responsibilities include overseeing custodians, training new hires, and maintaining safety and supply integrity. A strong focus on communication and teamwork will help uphold BEST’s culture and service standards.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and written skills.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act is desirable.
• Ability to plan, organize, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily duties of custodians (light and heavy).
• Train new hires and reinforce company culture.
• Communicate staffing, safety, and supply needs with site management.
• Lead staff meetings to implement policies and safety requirements.
• Maintain storage areas and secure cleaning equipment.
• Perform floor maintenance and basic repairs as needed.
• Report shortages and equipment repairs.
