Job summary

CBRE Building Operator in Victoria, BC is responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, building systems, and equipment as part of Engineering and Technical Services. This role supports preventive maintenance and repairs to sustain reliable service delivery.

You will perform rounds, log readings, manage CMMS work orders, and coordinate with contractors while ensuring safety and energy efficiency. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of facility experience and BAS/CMMS knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or trade school diploma with 1-2 years related facility experience.
• 4th class Operating Engineer qualification is an asset.
• 2–5 years in operation and maintenance of facilities.
• Proficient with CMMS and BAS; basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds and log readings.
• Complete preventative and demand maintenance tasks; log histories in CMMS.
• Start up/shut down building infrastructure equipment.
• Inspect and maintain mechanical and electrical systems including boilers, chillers, HVAC, pumps, generators, life safety.
• Respond to tenant requests and emergencies; escalate as needed.
• Oversee contractors to ensure contract compliance.
