Job summary

Lifemark Health Group is seeking a Facilitator in Calgary to coach job seekers returning to work. You will deliver workshops, conduct assessments, and assist with resumes, interviews, and job readiness across virtual and in-person setups.

The role requires university or technical training and 1–3 years of facilitation experience, with strong communication skills and comfort with online platforms.

Qualifications

• Completion of University or technical training in a related field or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years of experience facilitating or instructing groups both virtually and in-person
• Experience delivering career and employment services workshops to job seekers
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Sensitivity to learning limitations that may be present with participants
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills
• Comfortable with social media platforms and job search sites
• Ability to lesson plan for multiple levels of learning across ages and abilities
• Teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Strong understanding of the local labour market
• Understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity
• Security/background checks may be required

Responsibilities

Job description

Title: Facilitator

Department: Vocational Services

Reports to: Program Manager

The Facilitator will provide coaching and support to job seekers returning to the workforce. In collaboration with the team, the Facilitator will assist in individualized job search support services, job placement services, and workshop delivery. The Facilitator will deliver a number of different training components including skills for success, computer training, job search preparation, and career and employment services related topics.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Facilitate delivery of workshops and training in-person and online
• Conduct vocational assessments with participants to determine employment history, transferrable skills, education and past work or volunteer experience
• Assess and enhance job readiness by identifying challenges, employment barriers and assistance they may need to gain meaningful employment
• Support participants in completing resumes and cover letters and preparing for job interviews
• Prepare participants for active job search activitiesProvide group and 1:1 feedback and coaching in the areas of resume writing, cover letter, and job interview preparation
• Monitor and maintain participant files
• Assist with content development, updates, and improvements
• Complete tracking and reporting in accordance with current templates, guides, standards and processes

Minimum Qualifications:

• Completion of University or technical training in a related field or equivalent experience or combination of experience and education
• 1-3 years of experience with facilitating or instructing a group both virtually and in-person
• Experience delivering career and employment services workshops to job seekers
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Sensitivity to learning limitations that may be present with participants
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills
• Comfortable with social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, as well as key job search sites including Glassdoor, Indeed , CareerBuilder for job searching and applications
• Ability to lesson plan for multiple levels of learning across various ages and abilities
• Teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to change tasks quickly and seamlessly
• Strong understanding of the local labour market
• An excellent understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity
• Security/background check is required
