Job summary

Job description

We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and client-focused Employment Facilitator to support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving meaningful, paid employment.

This is a hands-on role focused on client services, case management, client-centred job development, employer engagement, and workplace support. The successful candidate will work with clients to identify their strengths, interests, skills, and employment goals, then actively seek and secure employment opportunities that are a strong match.

Duties
  • Provide individualized client services, employment planning, and ongoing case management
  • Complete intake, assessments, documentation, and detailed case notes
  • Support clients with resumes, applications, interviews, and job readiness
  • Conduct client-centred job development, actively seeking and securing paid employment opportunities that match each client's goals, strengths, and interests
  • Build and maintain relationships with employers and advocate for inclusive employment
  • Support clients through interviews, hiring & on-boarding
  • Recruit, hire, and manage Job Coaches
  • Provide direction and ongoing support to Job Coaches to ensure individualized client goals are met
  • Monitor workplace supports and follow up with clients, employers, and Job Coaches to promote successful employment retention
  • Liaise with families, service providers, employers, and community partners
  • Develop individualized workplace tools and strategies that promote independence and success
  • Participate in job fairs, community events, and employer networking
  • Maintain knowledge of local labour market trends and inclusive employment practices
Qualifications
  • Experience in community, employment, disability, or social services
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Education in social sciences, human services, career development, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in case management and employment services
  • Experience with job development & employer engagement an asset
  • Strong communication, advocacy, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong understanding of person-centred planning and individualized supports
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients and priorities
  • Knowledge of inclusive employment practices and workplace accommodations
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation may be required
