Job summary

Southeast College is seeking an Adult Education Facilitator to support instructors delivering Adult Basic Education (Adult 10-12) in Cowessess First Nation. The role focuses on assisting teachers in Live Online courses, helping students with technology, and monitoring progress and assessments.

Successful candidates will have a Grade 12 diploma with further post-secondary education and experience as an Educational Assistant; cross-cultural learning experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma with relevant post-secondary education.
• Educational Assistant certificate or Bachelor of Education preferred.
• Experience as Educational Assistant is required; adult education experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support both teachers and students in "Live Online" courses to enhance learning and help students successfully complete their programs.
• Assist students with computer use and other technology.
• Monitor student progress, including overseeing tests and exams.
• Manage and distribute instructional materials as needed.
• Help with classroom demonstrations.
• Provide individual or group tutorials, both in and out of the classroom, to address student needs.
• Complete required reporting tasks.
