Job summary

Suncrest College is seeking a face-to-face Adult Education Instructor in Yorkton, SK. The position is temporary, part-time, from August 26, 2026 to February 28, 2027 for 680 hours/113.33 days, with compen­sation commensurate with education and experience.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Education and a Professional Teaching Certificate, with 1–2 years of adult teaching. REGISTER with Saskatchewan PRTB, background checks required, and cross-cultural experience valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education Degree required.
• Professional Teaching Certificate required.
• Two years of teaching experience in an adult setting.
• Prior instructional experience preferred.
• Registered or eligible to register with the Saskatchewan Professional Teachers Regulatory Board.
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check required.
• Experience working in a cross-cultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction of Adult Basic Education Level 3/Adult 10 and/or Level 4/Adult 12 as prescribed in course curricula by the Ministry of Education.
• Deliver face-to-face instruction in Yorkton, SK.
• Support learners to meet program outcomes and assessments.

The Opportunity:

This position is primarily responsible for providing instruction of Adult Basic Education Level 3/Adult 10 and / or Level 4/Adult 12 as prescribed in course curricula by the Ministry of Education.

Requirements:

• The minimum educational qualification for this position is a four-year Bachelor of Education Degree.
• Professional A Teaching Certificate is required.
• The minimum amount of practical, related experience required to perform the duties of this position is two years of teaching experience in an adult setting
• Preference will be given to candidate with previous instructional experience.
• Registered or eligible to register with the Saskatchewan Professional Teachers Regulatory Board.
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check Required.
• Demonstrated experience working in a cross-cultural environment.
