Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications and manuals.
• Operate MIG, FCAW, GMAW, TIG welding equipment as required.
• Install doors, windows and other hardware.
• Determine weldability of materials and verify data accuracy.
• Inspect welds to ensure compliance with standards and specs.
• Operate hoisting and lifting equipment and handle metal parts.

TASKS

• Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
• Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
• Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines
• Interpret welding process specifications
• Install door, window and other hardware
• Determine weldability of materials
• Verify accuracy and completeness of data
• Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC)
• Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
• Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications

• Verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
