Job summary

Howie Welding & Repairs is seeking an experienced welder to join our on-site metal products manufacturing team in Canada. You will read work orders, grind and deburr surfaces, and ensure cleanliness of machines and work areas. A 5+ year welding background and WHMIS certification are preferred.

Work is performed at the physical location with a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are recommended due to site access.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years welding experience.
• Secondary school graduation required.
• WHMIS certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove welds, rust, scale and other materials from surfaces of metal products.
• Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal and other materials.
• Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
• Clean machines and immediate work areas.
• Read and interpret work orders.
