Job summary

Westlake is seeking a fabrication worker in Vaughan to support production operations. You will review orders, set up bending heaters, and follow the production schedule while ensuring correct packaging and quality checks on finished parts.

You may be asked to report deficiencies in equipment and processes and to record output on each work order. The role requires English communication, the ability to read and perform basic math, and the physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Prior fabrication experience is an asset.
• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand all work orders.
• Set up all heaters in bending.
• Follow production schedule as outlined.
• Identify and locate material by dimensional size and color.
• Apply correct packaging for finished parts.
• Visual check of parts for damage and report deficiencies.
• Report any deficiencies in systems, facilities, machinery, equipment and/or tools.
• Record number of pieces on completed work order.
