Job summary

EFS-plastics Inc. in Listowel, Ontario is seeking an Extruder Operator - New to maintain extruders safely, perform quality tests, and keep the plant floor clean and organized. Weekend shift with days (7:00am–7:00pm Sat and Sun) plus an additional weekday shift; start date ASAP.

• Able to plan, prioritize and organize multiple tasks.
• Reliable, consistent attendance, punctual and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and run extruders efficiently and safely.
• Quality testing using measuring tools and in-house training.
• Housekeeping daily of plant floor to maintain safe, organized working conditions.
• Monitor fully automated extruder processing lines.
• Perform frequent quality checks on products.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement projects.
• Assist with some mechanical repairs.
• Maintain work area to safety and housekeeping standards.
• Notify shift lead or management with equipment issues.
• Assist in training of new operators.
• Additional duties as assigned.

STATUS: Weekends

SHIFT: Days (7:00am - 7:00pm Saturday and Sunday; with one additional shift during the week)

START DATE: As soon as possible.

SALARY: $20.00 - $24.64

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Extruder Operator will primarily be responsible for maintaining extruders efficiently and safely. They will also be responsible for completing quality tests using tools provided, and housekeeping daily of plant floor to maintain safe and organized working conditions.

• Mechanical, equipment and process knowledge.

• Maintain work area to acceptable safety and housekeeping standards.
• Notify the shift lead or management with any equipment related issues.
• Assist in the training of new operators.
• Additional duties as assigned.
