Job summary

Autism Services is seeking a Geology professional to support designated Orano mining projects. You will collect and interpret field data, log drill cores, and ensure accurate data entry in the project database.

The role includes core handling tasks and supervising geo-technicians at a fly-in/fly-out site. The position requires a geology degree (B.Sc./M.Sc.), 4+ years in exploration, and a P.Geo eligibility.

Qualifications

  • University degree in geology (B.Sc., M.Sc.).
  • 4+ years of exploration experience.
  • Professional Geoscientist designation or eligible for registration as P. Geo in Saskatchewan.
  • Solid background in geology and structural geology.
  • Experience in uranium exploration is an asset.
  • Good computer skills are essential.
  • Ability to interpret and summarize large data sets clearly.
  • Must be fit to work in remote locations with challenging terrain.
  • Valid Class 5 driverb4s license is required.
  • Experience with snowmobiles, ATVs or similar equipment is an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; teamwork across mining staff.
  • Interpersonal skills and adaptability to isolated environments.

Responsibilities

  • Work on designated Orano mining projects as directed.
  • Provide logistical and technical support for exploration/development programs.
  • Collecting and interpreting field data related to drill core logging.
  • Enter data in project database ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with daily core handling functions (measuring, sampling, photography, moving full core boxes).
  • Assist or complete down hole probing data acquisition.
  • Provide written/oral presentations of results: maps, sections, tables, etc.
  • Supervise geo-technicians.
