Job summary

Cameco is conducting exploration drilling projects and seeks a field geologist to support drill programs in remote Saskatchewan locations. The role involves site work under a project geologist with a rotational schedule and data collection using specialized tools.

Responsibilities include logging and sampling drill cores, collaborating on interpretive geological work, supervising field staff, and assisting with reporting and data compilation. This is a one-year temporary staff position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in geology or related discipline is required.
  • Ability to register with APEG Saskatchewan is preferred/required.
  • Ability to work in remote locations for extended periods.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital tools.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

  • Collect geological data and observations using specialized software and tools.
  • Drill core logging and sampling; probe drill holes with geophysical tools; create interpretive cross sections; manage drill core boxes.
  • Collaborate with project team to produce geological interpretations and supervise field operations.
  • Assist with data compilation, interpretation, and reporting requirements.
