Job summary

FirstService Residential in Vancouver, BC is seeking an Experienced Strata Manager to lead management services for a diverse strata portfolio. You will attend strata council and general meetings, conduct property inspections, and supervise staff and contractors to ensure compliance and performance.

The role requires a current BC Representative License to provide Strata Management Services, a BC driver’s license, and access to a vehicle with business insurance.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience managing residential strata properties, including new developments and high-density buildings.
• Strong customer service mindset.
• Well-organized, efficient, and skilled at time management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Advise strata council on bylaws, applicable acts, and relevant legislation.
• Prepare for and chair council and general meetings, usually in the evening.
• Supervise building managers, security, maintenance and other services as required.
• Respond to emergencies and file insurance claims.
• Oversee procurement: bids, contracts, invoices, contractor work, special projects.
• Recruit and supervise site staff as needed.
• Prepare annual budgets, monitor fee collection, ensure timely payments.
• Handle administrative duties and site inspections.
