Job summary

WSP is seeking a developing Project Manager to contribute to multidisciplinary mining and environmental projects across Canada, with mentorship and a clear development pathway. You will coordinate teams, support budgeting, and build client relationships within a structured governance environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geoscience or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years coordinating or delivering projects in consulting, engineering, environmental or mining contexts.
• Working knowledge of scope, schedule, budget and risk management for projects.
• Experience with project financials, schedules, and technical deliverables in a professional services setting.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office; exposure to PM systems is a plus.
• Experience in mining, environmental or regulatory projects is advantageous.
• Oracle for financial tracking is an asset; PMP designation is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support multidisciplinary mining and environmental project delivery ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality commitments are met.
• Coordinate project teams and workstreams to enable cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Contribute to project financial performance through budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting and invoicing.
• Build strong client relationships and provide clear, regular progress updates.
• Promote health, safety, and quality in line with WSP standards and governance.

• Supporting the delivery of multidisciplinary mining and environmental projects while helping ensure scope, schedule, budget, and quality commitments are achieved.

The Skills That Set You Apart

• 3–5 years of experience supporting or coordinating projects within consulting, engineering, environmental, or mining-related environments.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geoscience, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• A working knowledge of project management fundamentals, including scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
• Experience supporting project financials, schedules, and technical deliverables within a professional services environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office; exposure to project management systems is an asset.
• Experience in mining, environmental, or regulatory projects is considered an advantage.
• Experience using Oracle for financial tracking is an asset.
• PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $89,800 – $118,900

MB & ON: $81,900 – $112,800

NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $81,100 – $107,700
