Job summary

WSP in Canada is seeking a Project Manager in Toronto, Mississauga, or Vancouver to grow their Mining Project Management capabilities, working under a structured governance framework and with mentorship.

You will oversee scope, schedule, budget, risk, and client relations, gaining exposure to several mining and environmental projects while advancing your career with clear development pathways.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geoscience, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience coordinating or leading projects in consulting, engineering, environmental, or mining contexts.
  • Working knowledge of project management: scope, schedule, budget, and risk.
  • Experience with project financials, schedules, and technical deliverables in professional services.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office; PM systems are a plus.
  • Mining, environmental, or regulatory project experience is advantageous.
  • Experience using Oracle for financial tracking is an asset.
  • PMI PMP designation is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of multidisciplinary mining and environmental projects within budget and schedule.
  • Coordinate project teams and workstreams across disciplines.
  • Contribute to project financial performance via budgeting, costing, forecasting, and invoicing.
  • Build strong client relationships as day-to-day contact with clear progress updates.
  • Promote health, safety, and quality aligned with WSP standards.
  • Collaborate with experienced leaders to strengthen execution and outcomes.
  • Help deliver value for clients, communities, and the environment.

  • Supporting the delivery of multidisciplinary mining and environmental projects while helping ensure scope, schedule, budget, and quality commitments are achieved.
  • Coordinating project teams and defined workstreams to enable effective collaboration across technical disciplines.
  • Contributing to project financial performance through budgeting support, cost tracking, forecasting, and invoicing activities.

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • 3–5 years of experience supporting or coordinating projects within consulting, engineering, environmental, or mining-related environments.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geoscience, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A working knowledge of project management fundamentals, including scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
  • Experience supporting project financials, schedules, and technical deliverables within a professional services environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office; exposure to project management systems is an asset.
  • Experience in mining, environmental, or regulatory projects is considered an advantage.
  • Experience using Oracle for financial tracking is an asset.
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $89,800 – $118,900

MB & ON: $81,900 – $112,800

NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $81,100 – $107,700
