Quality Belt Maintenance Ltd. is seeking an experienced Industrial Conveyor Belt Splice Technician for permanent, full-time employment in Welland, Ontario.

This is not an entry-level position and requires at least two years of hands-on belt-splicing experience. Experienced Industrial Conveyor Belt Splice Technician

Quality Belt Maintenance Ltd. - Welland, Ontario

Quality Belt Maintenance Ltd. is hiring experienced Industrial Conveyor Belt Splice Technicians for permanent, full-time positions.

This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have at least two years of hands-on experience installing, repairing, replacing and splicing industrial conveyor belting.

Position details

• Starting wage: $27.50 per hour
• Permanent, full-time employment
• Approximately 40 hours per week, plus overtime

Primary responsibilities

• Install, repair, replace and splice industrial conveyor belts
• Perform mechanical splices and conveyor belt change-outs

Experience with hot and cold vulcanized splicing is considered an asset.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of directly related industrial conveyor belt-splicing experience
• Ability to perform core splicing and belt-maintenance duties with limited supervision
• Valid driver's licence with an acceptable driving record
• Valid passport
• Ability and willingness to travel within Canada and internationally, including to the United States
• Availability for overtime and varying schedules, including occasional evenings, nights, weekends and statutory holidays
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in industrial environments
• Ability to work at heights and in confined or restricted spaces after receiving the required training
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
