DXP | HSE Integrated in Mount Pearl, NL, is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to oversee safe operation of client projects and enforce safety programs. The role requires the ability to work independently, strong organizational and communication skills, and a field background in health and safety.

You will conduct site inspections, incident investigations, orientations, and ongoing safety training to ensure compliance with OH&S regulations and client policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years field experience in safety.
• Proven leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.
• Experience in health and safety capacity is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and stay organized.
• Must be able to work in oil and gas environments.
• Able to meet long shift requirements (10–12 hours).

Responsabilités

• Identify and review health and safety concerns at the worksite.
• Communicate with government, management and workers about safety.
• Provide site orientations on emergency procedures and muster locations.
• Maintain accurate head counts of personnel on location.
• Assist in incident investigations and prepare reports.
• Ensure compliance with OH&S regulations applicable to client operations.
• Conduct facility/site inspections and safety audits regularly.
• Report changes to Operations Coordinators as needed.
• Stay hydrated, alert, and fit for duty.
